Company History

Sep 1929 RIKEN invented “ALUMITE” (p39-p41).
(The origin of RIKEN ALUMITE is described in “RIKEN Spirit 88 Years “ Part I - Chapter 2 “Scientific Industry” and “RIKEN Zaibatsu”)
Mar 1931 Oxalic acid anodized processing: Named “ALUMITE” (registered trademark)
Mar 1934 Established “Riken ALUMITE Processing Industry Co., Ltd.” as the first factory specializing in ALUMITE processing in Japan with joint investment by RIKEN Foundation, Japan Aluminum Corporation, and Nasu Aluminum Corporation, and started ALUMITE processing.
Oct 1952 Kawasaki Plant became independent and the new “Riken Alumite Industry Co., LTD.” was established.
A new path was started.
Nov 1956 Became a plant approved by the Ministry of Defense and began ALUMITE processing defense equipment and aircraft parts.
Jul 1960 Established industrial hard chrome plating division.
May 1969 Invented ALUMITE processing coloring method “RICOLOR.”
Obtained Japanese Patent No. 655809 and patents in the U.S., Canada, Australia, and Switzerland.

Take Kawasaki City Bus No. 40 (bound for Mizue-cho, Shiohama Office, and Rinko Police Station) for 20 minutes, then the office is right in front of the Sakuramoto bus stop.
The Sakuramoto bus stop of Kawasaki City Bus No. 23 bus bound for Oishi is located 700 meters away.

    After passing the Ikegami-Shinmachi intersection, do a U-turn at the second traffic light. The office is right next to Sagawa Express.
  • ・From Yokohama: Take the Metropolitan Expressway No.1 Yokohane Line, get off at the Asada Exit, and drive 3 km along Sangyo Road toward Tokyo.
    The entrance is right in front of the Sakuramoto bus stop.
